Strong communities depend on the participation and support of local businesses, and we're happy to be able to give back to the people that have helped us grow over the years. We're proud supporters of a variety of local organizations including the Okotoks Film Festival, High Country Minor Hockey, The First Oilfields Scouts, St. Vincent De Paul Society, Okotoks Junior Bisons, Okotoks Dawgs, Beneath the Arch Concert Series Society, our local Library, Diamond Valley Family Run and the Food Bank.

James Lozinsky - Lawyer Mediator Arbitrator

James graduated from the U of C with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 2000 and articled at a small Calgary firm until June 2001. From June 2001, James has practiced as a lawyer in the Foothills area with offices in Okotoks and Black Diamond-Turner Valley. James has always been interested in a general law practice helping people and the community with everyday issues. His practice currently involves wills, estates, family law, corporate, residential and commercial real estate, child representation, mediation, arbitration, parenting coordination and some types of litigation. James is continuously updating his training and skills and has expanded his dispute resolution arsenal by studying and practicing mediation, arbitration, parenting coordination, collaborative law and most recently learning the peacemakers approach to family law.
Personal
James enjoys the atmosphere and spirit of a small, close-knit community which he finds is very vibrant in the Foothills, Black Diamond-Turner Valley and Okotoks. This likely comes from his upbringing, as he grew up in small towns in Saskatchewan. James has a wide range of hobbies and interests including the arts in its many forms (music, theatre, photography, movies, painting and dance), sports both as a spectator and participant (martial arts, football, hockey) and being active in the outdoors by camping, hiking, snowshoeing and backpacking.

Chandra was born and raised in Hines Creek, Alberta and attended post-secondary education in Camrose and Edmonton before starting her legal career in Fort McMurray, Alberta where she and her Husband Rob started their family. After 14 years of practice in Fort McMurray, Chandra, Rob and their 3 children have relocated to Black Diamond.
Personal
Outside of the office and lawyer duties, Chandra taxis her children to cadets, martial arts and dance. During the limited other time available, Chandra enjoys camping, volleyball, yoga, golf and travelling with her family.
Associations | Community
Along with Chandra’s experience in family law, she brings with her a long history of involvement with community initiatives including board of director leadership roles with the Food Bank and a crisis intervention organization. She was a leader in the local bar association and coordinator for legal education events and activities. She was also a presenter of the Parenting After Separation course for many years. She was recently elected the Alberta representative for the Board of Directors for the National Branch of the Canadian Bar Association.
Lani Johnson - Legal Assistant

Lani is the real estate assistant. She has been with the firm since March 2007. Lani enjoys the relationships she develops with each of her clients. She likes to meet with the clients, realtors, mortgage brokers and lenders, working closely with everyone to make sure the transactions run smoothly and efficiently.
Personal
Lani is a born and raised, 6th generation Okotokian. Her family has been in the Okotoks area for over 100 years. Lani enjoys both playing sports and being a spectator, especially baseball, volleyball, hockey and golf. Summertime camping and the outdoors are also some of Lani’s favourite activities. Family time spent with her husband, daughter, son and relatives is very important to Lani.

Lani has been a coach and a volunteer with Okotoks Minor Baseball as her daughter grew up playing baseball. She also is an asset to her adult sports leagues, helping to organize the events and with the administration.
